NESCO (Nuclear Employees Sports and Cultural Organisation), previously called as KRC (Kalpakkam Recreation Centre) is managed by a Governing Council (NESCO-GC) nominated by Kalpakkam Management Committee (KMC). NESCO-GC was constituted in the year 2017 vide office order:

NESCO: It is managed by a Managing Committee (NESCO-MC) constituted by NESCO-GC and approved by KMC. The NESCO-MC has representatives from all the units of DAE in Kalpakkam and employees union as office bearers. The NESCO-MC is reconstituted every financial year by giving chance to any individual who comes forward in shouldering responsibility to do service to the Kalpakkam community. It is ensured that officer bearers have adequate experience in fields like sports, cultural, administration, accounts etc. and the performance of the office bearers is vital for successful running of NESCO.
It offers various facilities including reading room, swimming, open air movie screen, basket ball, volleyball, football, badminton, carom, chess, table tennis, lawn tennis, gym etc.
Nuclear Employees Sports & Cultural Organisation(NESCO) caters to the entertainment needs of employees of the various organisations of Kalpakkam and thier wards. It conducts different sports competition at various levels from intra-township to district, state, national level on various games & sports. It also organises a food-cum property mela for the benefit of residents every year in the month of August.
